Dr. Naskhi received her undergraduate medical degree from the University of Calgary. She then pursued and completed her residency training in Family Medicine from the University of British Columbia. Given her special interest in skin health and dermatology, she then completed an advanced training in dermatology and acquired a diploma in practical dermatology from the Cardiff University in United Kingdom.

Where are you from?

Dr. Naskhi was born in Iran and immigrated to Canada after finishing high school. She has been in Alberta since and calls Calgary home.

What Inspired You To Become a Physician?

Dr. Naskhi was a corporate lawyer prior to pursuing a career in medicine. She changed her profession as she felt an immense passion for health promotion and education and found her calling in medicine.

What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of your professional life?

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Naskhi enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She practices yoga Nidra in her spare time. She stays active by participating in various activities, boxing being one of her favorites.

What Are some surprising or fun facts about yourself?

Dr. Naskhi enjoys watching movies and specifically detective and mystery shows.

Becoming a physician was always the only direction I wanted to take.

Playing Golf and riding horses as long as I can stay on! I enjoy living on a small farm outside Calgary

What Inspired You To Become a Physician?

I was fascinated by the human body. I had volunteered on an ambulance service and found that I enjoyed the interaction with patients and their families. I particularly enjoy the connection with families that forms over several years of care in clinic.

What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of your professional life?

I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and trying new recipes, especially vegan versions of loved foods for my daughter. I enjoy reading books and listening to audiobooks.

What Are some surprising or fun facts about yourself?

I enjoy putting together jigsaw puzzles with my family.

What Inspired You To Become a Physician?

The marriage of science and interacting with people led me to become a Physician. I have a keen interest in Surgery, being hands-on and problem solving.

What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of your professional life?

Hiking, music, spending time with family.

I used to be in a dance team and we won a national competition!
